FORKLIFT TRAINING CLASS | 4/5/2025 | SATURDAY | 8:00 AM -12:00 PM | This class will prepare each participant for a forklift license certification through classroom lecture and theory. The classroom portion never expires once completed. There are two things needed to obtain a forklift license certification. First, each member must have record of completing the classroom portion from the JATC. Second, each member must pass the practical portion (driving) at their place of employment on each site-specific lift. For example, if you were trained on a forklift with one employer and then went to work with another employer who had a similar but different forklift, you ARE NOT certified on the site-specific forklift. Both you and your employer are not in OSHA compliance and are subject to fines. You must be trained on each make and model that you are operating. Forklift certifications need to be renewed every three years. If you are currently certified on a forklift with your employer and that forklift, make and model has not changed then you simply just need to renew your forklift certification card through the JATC. This is done through your employer. | R. Lightfoot | McClees Hall |
